McCarthy Gallery, Parnell Auckland NZ, 2006
McCARTHY GALLERY recognises and celebrates the histories, culture, diversity, creativity, resourcefulness, and endurance of the First Peoples of Australia, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
McCarthy Gallery strives to lead in the stewardship and care of Pacific contemporary art, fostering partnerships with artists and collectors throughout the Australian art communities.
Established in Parnell in 2006 by the McCarthy family, The Gallery is a fine art venue that takes pride in showcasing Pacific artists. As a vibrant commercial space, it has nurtured intercultural dialogue and contributed to the growth of some of today's most celebrated Pacific artists. With nearly two decades of diverse and transformative operations, the gallery has hosted the prestigious international art award, and a retrospective exhibition series that accentuates the careers of artists in partnership with private sectors.
Our commitment lies in offering our collectors and the art community a varied exhibition schedule, featuring both solo and group exhibitions, art fairs, symposiums, artist talks, digital platform access, tailored and private complimentary consultation services, and provenance documentation to enhance the enjoyment of our collective artistic voyage, supported by our gallery and various art initiatives.
We take great pride in our contribution to the Pacific contemporary art scene, leading with our roster of distinguished and up-and-coming artists, and bringing the finest Pacific and Indigenous artists to Australian collectors.
Have a delightful viewing of our end-of-year group exhibition. From our team to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We look forward to working with you.
